Access Customers Using PFS Electronic Forms Management Achieve 'Most Wired' Recognition

Inland Northwest Health Services, Norman Regional Hospital and University of Pittsburg Medical Center named in Hospital and Health Networks magazine’s prestigious annual technology leaders list

Sulphur Springs, Texas - (05 August 2009) Three healthcare organizations that have purchased Access’s industry-leading electronic forms management solutions have been included in the annual Hospital and Health Networks (the journal of the American Hospitals Association, or AHA) ‘Most Wired’ list.

Hospital and Health Networks conducts a yearly survey to find the 100 ‘Most Wired’ hospitals and healthcare organizations. It focuses on how healthcare providers use IT to enhance patient safety and quality, customer service, business process improvement, workforce management and public health and safety.

Norman Regional Health System, based in Norman, Okla., earned recognition as a Most Improved Hospital. Norman Regional provides outpatient diagnostic centers, medical transport services, physician services, centers of excellence, durable medical equipment supplies, a primary care network, community wellness service and employer health services. The system employs more than 2,900 people and partners with 300 active-staff physicians to provide exemplary care and service to Oklahoma residents.

University of Pittsburg Medical Center (UPMC) has been included on the Most Wired list for 11 consecutive years. UPMC is an integrated global health enterprise and one of the leading nonprofit health systems in the United States. As western Pennsylvania’s largest employer, with 48,000 employees and nearly $7 billion in revenue, UPMC is transforming the economy of the region into one based on medicine, research and technology.

Hospitals in the Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) group, based in Spokane, Wash., were among those deemed ‘Most Wired’ in 2009. INHS connects hospitals, health care facilities and physician offices through a health information technology network that allows health care providers to securely access patient information utilizing wired and wireless technologies. The INHS health information technology network includes more than 45,000 users in three states.

“We’re proud to be partnering with leading healthcare providers such as Norman Regional, UPMC, and INHS,” said Access founder and CEO Tim Elliot. “We’ll continue to help them and our other customers enhance patient care, service and safety through the use of our electronic forms management solutions.”
